Cursor Skills

Cursor reads project rule and instruction files, so a plain SKILL.md becomes a Cursor skill by dropping it into your repo. These are the most-installed skills for code review, refactoring, debugging, testing and docs.

How to install a skill

  1. 1. Install from the registry. Run the per-skill command shown on each card below from your project root — it writes the skill into your project’s skills directory:
npx skills use "https://github.com/owner/repo" --skill "skill-name"
  2. 2. Or install by hand. Tick the skills you want, download the zip, and put each SKILL.md into .cursor/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md.
  3. 3. Use it. Reload the Cursor window so it re-reads the project rules, then ask Cursor's chat or agent for the task the skill covers.
